Poena Studios

Poena Studios is a commission miniatures painting studio primarily focused on painting war gaming, tabletop, and board game miniatures.

I became interested in working with miniatures after diving into the world of tabletop gaming. Currently, I play Shadowrun, Dungeons and Dragons, Battletech, and Infinity, among other games. Some of them I’m even good at!

Most of what I paint tends to have a focus on atmosphere and skin, so you will see a lot of Kingdom Death on my page or experimental painting that could fail. I aim to share both my successes and failures because we’ve all made mistakes, and if something I failed at helps someone else, we’ve both won. I strive to be upfront and blunt when I can be, especially to myself.

I work a full-time job in addition to painting miniatures.
