Busy girl!

I have not kept up with the blog posts lately! My initial goal for the year was to try to do one post a week, and… well,  I’m about a month behind.

Are there excuses? Absolutely. Are they valid? Eh. Some of it is just busy work with my day job, some of it is commission work, some is life, some is just me being tired.

I want to try to get back into things.  One thing I wish I could see more of in the painting world is the insight into people’s thought process – why did they choose the color scheme they did? What drew them to their models? How do they handle the inevitable “Oh shoot” moment when mistakes are made? I’m a proponent of “be the change you want to see” which means I need to put my money where my mouth is and actually post the content I grumble about not being able to find.

So, my game plan is to try to at least post a monthly WIP blog post that dives into what I’m working on (provided I’m able to share at the time; some commission work remains private until after the fact!) and share the insight.  I’ll also aim to keep with the weekly schedule I initially told myself I’d keep.

For now, though,  I am currently chilling at my LGS with Vagrantsong, as I promised to demo it today, so I will enjoy the brief respite from the busy. 🙂
