Time flies when you’re having fun!
– 2022 saw a new job
– 2024 saw a layoff from said job (survived the first two rounds of layoffs, but not the third)
– Visited Europe
– Started playing Kingdom Death: Monster
– European friend visited this past week

Lately, I’ve realized I’ve missed painting regularly. With playing KDM on a fairly regular basis (~weekly), it’s been clear that 1) for models I paint for myself, I have a terrible habit of only getting to around 80% done then moving on, and 2) I miss streaming. My 2022 job was hectic and caused me to work beyond my scheduled hours – I did love the work and I learnt a LOT – but the new job is refreshingly strong on work-life balance. I have FREE TIME!

My KDM friend Millie actually reminded me how I need to blog/post more (Thanks Millie! <3) when they mentioned stumbling across the blog. Another friend, Java, is starting to get into painting as well, so it’s been a blast helping teach them to paint in 1:1 “classes”, aka an afternoon hanging out with drinks and good food.

Above are a few WIPs and projects I’ve been working on in the interim. I am working on a contest piece for NovaOpen, but that is currently staying under wraps for the moment. 🙂 Taking some time in the gaps during my online Shadowrun game to build this afternoon, so I should get back to that!
